Less than a 15-minute drive from Kinmore Green, this is a family friendly fitness and leisure centre located in the heart of Wanneroo. Whilst it features a fully equipped gym,group fitness classes and  fully tailored personal training, we think it’s the fantastic aquatic facilities that you’ll come back to again and again. The children’s splash pad is a hit with the younger kids and parents alike – an outdoor pool, covered with a shade cloth, the splash pad features several water features which will keep the children entertained for hours.

Landsdale farm

A great day out for families of all ages. With animal feeding, cart rides and many farm animals to visit, there is something for everyone at Landsdale Farm. There’s storytime and craft for mini farmers, and a multitude of animals to discover during your visit from pigs to guinea pigs, peacocks to ponies. Animals aside there are lovely gardens for picnicking and playgrounds in the shade – and don’t forget to hunt for gnomes hidden in the gardens whilst you’re there. Perth Ice Arena    

Whilst traditionally we think of ice skating as a winter activity – here in Perth what better time to give it a try than the summer holidays when it’s hot and we’re looking for ways to stay cool! Head to Perth Ice Arena in Malaga, just a 10-minute drive from Kinmore Green and try it for yourself. From novice through to figure skating everyone is welcome to give it a go and who knows perhaps discover your inner Torvill or Dean…

Take 5 for Ice-Cream

You will no doubt all deserve a treat after ice skating so stop off at Take 5 for Ice cream Parlour in Malaga on your way home. Scoop up scrumptious homemade gelato, cannoli, cakes and popsicles and you have the perfect treat, plus you’re supporting local too! Kingsway Aquatic Play Space 

Just a 5-minute drive from home Kingsway Aquatic Play Space will be your go to over the holidays. Also known as Kingsway Dinosaur Park, it’s located at Kingsway Regional Sporting Complex and has a new fully enclosed water play space. The shaded area has a variety of water play for the kids to enjoy – a splash pad, sprays and jets from above and below and a tipping bucket! The water is on daily from 8am until 7pm and the water features can be activated via the push button just inside the gate. If you or the kids have had enough of the water there is a great nature playground and shaded picnic spaces galore to enjoy not to mention a dinosaur or two to be discovered….

Hillarys Boat Harbour 

Pack the boardies and a beach umbrella and hop in the car for a day trip to Hillarys, don’t forget the sunscreen! The shallow calm waters are suitable for all swimming abilities and is an ideal spot for families to relax and enjoy the water without worrying about waves catching the kids unaware. The Boardwalk has food galore and is sure to have something for even the fussiest of eaters – not to mention multiple choices when it comes to ice cream! Between the water and the boardwalk, you can swim, eat and drink to your heart’s content.
